ZAGREB, Dec 30 (Hina) - Of the 79 Croatian nationals who happened to bein South Asia at the weekend when disastrous tsunamis hit the area,only two - Jozo Gudelj and Mirjana Engleitner - have not contactedtheir families yet, a Croatian
Foreign Ministry official told Hina onThursday.
ZAGREB, Dec 30 (Hina) - Of the 79 Croatian nationals who happened to
be in South Asia at the weekend when disastrous tsunamis hit the area, only two
- Jozo Gudelj and Mirjana Engleitner - have not contacted their families yet,
a Croatian Foreign Ministry official told Hina on Thursday."Jozo Gudelj left Duesseldorf for Bangkok on December 24, while Mrs.
Engleitner, who disappeared in Phuket, contacted her family last on Christmas
Eve," said Vinko Ljubicic, in charge of Croatian diplomatic missions and
consular offices.
The first Croatian victim of the tsunamis is a three-year-old Vivian
Slot, granddaughter of the head of Zagreb University, Helena Jasna Mencer.
More than 120,000 people, of which 80,000 in Indonesia, have been killed
in a magnitude 9.0 earthquake which hit the Indian Ocean last Sunday
triggering a series of tsunamis.
