The further oil leakage was prevented and the consequences of the accident are being removed, Janaf reported.
The company has not stated the site of the accident, but the National Information Centre this morning reported that there had been a major oil leak in the Pakra Canal near the village of Piljenica and that the spill was spreading towards the Pakra river (over 100 kilometres east of Zagreb).
The Interior Ministry said that it had received a report on the rupture of the oil pipeline at 10.30 hrs today.
