Kosor, who was born in the nearby town of Pakrac and completed her primary education in Lipik, thanked residents of Lipik and surrounding towns for their support.
"For me, people come before politics," Kosor said, adding that if elected president she would protect Croatian national interests and work towards raising the living standards of all people and developing war-ravaged areas.
Kosor took a walk through the marketplace, talking to citizens. She was accompanied by prominent HDZ members, including Agriculture Minister Petar Cobankovic, Defence Minister Berislav Roncevic and officials from the local party branch.
