Asked whether that meant the cancellation of Republika Srpska, Ashdown said that nothing was excluded and that everything was possible.
He stressed, however, that if Republika Srpska respected the Dayton Agreement he would protect its authority. He added that the threat for the Bosnian Serb entity did not come from Sarajevo but from Banja Luka. Peace in this country is based on the Dayton Agreement, Ashdown said.
Asked whether he expected that the EU would follow the example of the United states and ban the leaders of the Serb Democratic Party and the Party of Democratic Progress from entering its countries, Ashdown said the EU would make a decision about that but he underlined that activities of the international community were coordinated.
Commenting on Friday's resignation by Republika Srpska Prime Minister Dragan Mikerevic, Asjdown said that was Mikerevic's decision.
