ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - About 200 undergraduates gathered in front ofthe building of the Croatian Science and Education Ministry in Zagrebon Wednesday to protest against announcements that the price ofaccommodation and food in student
dormitories would go up.
ZAGREB, Dec 15 (Hina) - About 200 undergraduates gathered in front of
the building of the Croatian Science and Education Ministry in Zagreb on
Wednesday to protest against announcements that the price of accommodation and
food in student dormitories would go up.The protesters carried banners with slogans "We don't want politics in
mess halls" and "150,000 Students but only 9,500 beds (in dormitories)!". They
also shouted that professors and officials should reduce their salaries.
Minister Dragan Primorac, who received protesters' representatives, told
them that without previous consultations with students, universities and the
ministry there would be no increase in prices.
