In a statement to Hina, the assistant justice minister in charge of cooperation with the Hague tribunal, Jaksa Muljacic, confirmed the ministry had acted on the order but declined to speak of further procedure, saying that all information could be obtained from Zagreb County Court president Bozidar Rumenjak.
Rumenjak said the order was forwarded to the weekly's publisher, Stjepan Seselj, and former editor in chief Domagoj Margetic. He added the Hague tribunal and not the Zagreb court was in charge if the two did not comply with the order.
No comment or confirmation of receipt of the order could be obtained at the weekly.
Margetic, the weekly's editor in chief until two months ago, told the press today he had not received any order, which he added probably referred to articles he used to edit.
Anyone violating this order may be subject to punishment of up to seven years' imprisonment or a fine of up to 100,000 euros, the tribunal said in a statement yesterday.
The tribunal called on competent Croatian authorities to inform it of people responsible for the unlawful publication of transcripts or the violation of the tribunal's orders and decisions regarding witness protection.
