ZAGREB, Nov 24 (Hina) - Commenting on a coalition agreement concluded by four Slovene parties which will make up the new government, Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader has said the agreement's segments on possible solutions to the border issues with Croatia are the well-known standpoints of some political options in Slovenia and that it is not an objective state of affairs.

"Those are well known political positions of some political options in Slovenia. It is certainly not an objective situation and we cannot accept it.

"We are proposing the smoothest solution, namely that Croatia and Slovenia solve the demarcation of the borderline at sea through arbitration, like the USA and Canada or some European countries have done. Why should anyone fear arbitration if it is a regular, legitimate and very smooth model of resolving disputes between two countries," Sanader said on Wednesday

According to the agreement which Janez Jansa's Slovene Democratic Party signed with three coalition partners, the solution for the border at sea must be "pragmatic". The document asserts that four hamlets on the left bank of the Dragonja are Slovene territory until another solution is reached. The four Slovene parties also claim that the entire Piran Bay is Slovene.

The text of the agreement was released on an unofficial web site of the future government with the note that this was an unauthorised text.
