PROTOROZ, Nov 26 (Hina) - Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader on Friday morning arrived in the Slovene seaport of Portoroz to attend a summit of the Central European Initiative.

The Portoroz event, which focuses on the role of the CEI in the extended European Union and on new prospects of regional cooperation, will mark the end of Slovenia's year-long chairmanship of the 17-member group.

Some of the most prominent guests are Prime Ministers Fatos Nano of Albania, Adnan Terzic of Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Mukulas Dzurinda of Slovakia. The host, Slovenia's outgoing PM Anton Rop, will submit a report on the Slovene chairmanship over the initiative.

Although he was announced to attend, Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi will not arrive in Portoroz due to his busy schedule in Rome.

Before the start of the summit's plenary session, PM Sanader held talks with the Co-ordinator of the Stability Pact for Southeast Europe, Erhard Busek.

Sanader is also to meet the new Slovene Prime Minister Designate, Janez Jansa.
