According to the statement, Bot stressed the importance of cooperation with the ICTY and said that the Netherlands, as the chair of the European Union, wanted to have an objective and unbiassed approached. He said that the latest reports by ICTY president Theodor Meron and Chief Prosecutor Carla del Ponte carried a special weight.
Zuzul stressed Croatia's orientation towards cooperation with the ICTY and added that one case cannot diminish Croatia's achievements in the process of associating with the European Union, the statement said.
Bot praised the Croatian government for progress in the preparations for future EU membership, the statement said.
Zuzul is taking part in a ministerial meeting of the Euro-Mediterranean Process, which was held in The Hague on November 29 and 30.
The Croatian minister said that Europe's dialogue with Mediterranean countries was also important for Croatia which wants to actively assist that process, the statement said.
