ICTY INVESTIGATORS INTERVIEW FORMER MACEDONIAN MINISTER

PULA, Nov 22 (Hina) - Two ICTY investigators were interviewing former Macedonian Interior Minister Ljubo Boskoski in the northern Adriatic town of Pula between 14.00 and 17.00 hours Monday about Boskoski's alleged involvement in the 2001 Macedonian-Albanian armed conflicts in Ljuboten, near Skopje, which claimed the lives of about a dozen Albanian civilians.

After the three-hour interview, Boskoski's attorney, Zvonimir Hodak, who was also present during the interview, told reporters that Boskoski was taking about the histostory of the Macedonian-Albanian conflict.

According to Hodak, Boskoski did not know about the events in Ljubotina because at the time he was the directed of the intelligence agency and not the interior minister.

The attorney said the interview would resume tomorrow at 9 AM.

Then former Macedonian minister, who also holds Croatian citizenship, is suspected of ordering the killing of seven economic immigrants from Pakistan and India. He was arrested in Late August near the northern Adriatic town of Rovinj following an international arrest warrant.
