SARAJEVO, Nov 22 (Hina) - Iraqi Human Rights Minister Amin Bakhtiarsaid that experience in searching for persons who went missing duringthe war in Bosnia could help the Iraqi authorities which had to dealwith the same issue, the
Sarajevo-based International Commission forMissing Persons (ICMP), which invited the Iraqi minister to Bosnia fora four-day visit, said in a statement on Monday.
SARAJEVO, Nov 22 (Hina) - Iraqi Human Rights Minister Amin Bakhtiar
said that experience in searching for persons who went missing during the war
in Bosnia could help the Iraqi authorities which had to deal with the same
issue, the Sarajevo-based International Commission for Missing Persons (ICMP),
which invited the Iraqi minister to Bosnia for a four-day visit, said in a
statement on Monday.According to available information, more than one million people in Iraq
are registered as missing. The Iraqi transition government decided to seek
international help so as to shed light on the fate of the missing.
Minister Bakhtair also visited the Memorial Centre in Potocari and met
the families of the 1995 Srebrenica masscare.
