Letica accused the Government of manoeuvring and trying to reduce presidential campaigning to 10 days by procrastinating with calling the elections.
He said that in the meantime, the President's Office was serving the campaign of incumbent head of state Stjepan Mesic and the Government's Public Relations Office that of Jadranka Kosor, the candidate of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).
Letica said that by presenting his platform, under the slogan "Letica - The President Who Knows", he wanted to urge other presidential candidates to do the same because they did not have the faintest idea about their platforms.
Letica accused Mesic of "instrumentalising top military brass," and apologised to chief state prosecutor Mladen Bajic for "unjustly criticising him" for doing nothing to investigate the financial wrongdoings of former minister and current People's Party (HNS) MP Radimir Cacic.
