ZAGREB, Nov 15 (Hina) - The Croatian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestryand Water Management on Monday presented a twinning project called"the Strengthening of Operational Efficiency in the Ministry ofAgriculture, Forestry and Water Management" which is aimed atimproving the efficiency of the ministry in meeting the obligationsfrom the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU andpreparations for using pre-accession funds in agriculture and ruraldevelopment,
ZAGREB, Nov 15 (Hina) - The Croatian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management on Monday presented a twinning project called "the Strengthening of Operational Efficiency in the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management" which is aimed at improving the efficiency of the ministry in meeting the obligations from the Stabilisation and Association Agreement with the EU and preparations for using pre-accession funds in agriculture and rural development,

Assistant minister Miroslav Bozic said the project worth EUR1 million was financed by the European Commission within the framework of the CARDS 2002 project.

The Twinning project is a partnership between the Agriculture Ministry, the consortium of the German Consumer Protection, Food and Agriculture Ministry (BMVEL) and Greece's foundation for agriculture research (NAGREF).

The project, launched on 1 September this year, is to be completed by 1 September 2006, Bozic said.
