The purpose of the project is to raise public awareness against corruption and to encourage citizens to take an active part in the fight against corruption.
The Anti-Corruption Centre, funded by the European Commission, will not provide legal representation services nor will it operate as an investigating body, but will try to help solely by offering advice.
Twelve volunteers will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on free telephone number 0800 245 542 to receive citizens' complaints and to advise those having knowledge about corruption cases or those who have been victims of acts of corruption on how to exercise their rights, where to report corruption cases, or where to seek legal remedy.
