The two-day summit was attended by the first ladies of Croatia, Macedonia, Ukraine, the wife of the Macedonian president who was killed in a plane crash, a special envoy of the Australian first lady, and envoys of the first ladies of Hungary and Slovenia.
The plenary session was opened by the daughter of the Albanian president, Rubena Moisiu, who stressed the need for discussions on an early diagnosis of breast cancer.
"We politicians should do more. We should clearly and responsibly communicate our message" in the fight against breast cancer, Albanian President Alfred Moisiu said in his address to the meeting.
