According to a press release issued by the ministry, they concluded that trade between Croatia and Canada saw a decrease this year, and that additional efforts should be made to improve bilateral economic cooperation.
In the first eight months of 2004, trade totalled US$19.1 million, which was a drop of 50.5 percent in comparison to the exchange of goods between the two countries in the same period last year. Croatia's export to Canada came to 5.4 million dollars, while Canada's export to Croatia was 13.7 million.
