The bill proposes banning the breeding, import and export of animals for the production of leather or fur, as well as banning animal slaughtering in households, not including poultry and rabbits which are bred for food.
The document envisages banning wild game hunting, releasing into the wilderness artificially bred animals, and the use of animals in circuses.
The document also proposes prohibiting the clipping of pig teeth and the shortening of pig tails, the trimming of poultry beaks, and the removing of cat claws.
The Sabor today also discussed the Croatian Party of Rights' (HSP) bill on changes to the law on minimal measures of protection in transactions involving money and other valuables.
