Carteron, who on Wednesday also talked with Prime Minister Ivo Sanader in Zagreb, said that the Forum and the Croatian Foreign Ministry had concluded an agreement on the organisation of the Crans Montana gathering in Zagreb in April next year. The concept of the Zagreb event will be the same as that of the forums in Crans Montana and Monaco.
Political leaders and business people will be invited as usual, Zuzul said and Carteron added that informal invitations had been already forwarded to prime ministers and heads of international organisations and companies wishing to develop cooperation with Croatia.
The forum will discuss global and regional issues.
Carteron said that an expanding Europe would have several centres of gravitation, with Croatia as one of them.
He went on to say that in the last few years Croatia had been in a very difficult position for reasons lying outside Croatia and even outside the European Union.
According to our estimates, Croatia should have already been in the European bloc because of its political and economic results and the maturity of its government, Carteron said, adding that Croatia set an example to other countries in the region.
