CARDS PROJECT FOR CROATIAN NONPROFIT SECTOR PRESENTED

ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - The national foundation for the development ofcivil society presented in Zagreb on Thursday a CARDS project ofsupport to the nonprofit sector in social services. The project whichwill be carried out over more than two years is worth 1.5 millioneuros.
ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - The national foundation for the development of civil society presented in Zagreb on Thursday a CARDS project of support to the nonprofit sector in social services. The project which will be carried out over more than two years is worth 1.5 million euros.

The project, which will be financed from the CARDS 2002 programme, was drafted in cooperation with the European Commission.

Funds worth some 900,000 euros will be allocated to strength the capacity of the nonprofit sector in offering services in social welfare, health protection and extra-institutional learning in Croatia, while 600,000 euros will be used as technical assistance.
