SARAJEVO, Sept 30 (Hina) - The Court of Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday sentenced the former defence minister of the Croat-Muslim entity, Miroslav Prce, to five years' imprisonment.

Judge Michael Simmons said the sentence was passed on the basis of a bargain Prce made with the prosecutor which presided over the case of the mismanagement of Hercegovacka Banka funds.

Prce had pleaded guilty to charges of unconscientious performance of official duties and abuse of office and power.

Both the defence and the prosecution waived the right to appeal, which makes the sentence final. Prce was returned to custody. His prison sentence includes the time he spent in custody since his January 23 arrest.
