ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - The Defence Ministry said in a press releaseon Thursday it decided to terminate the active military service ofColonel Dunja Zloic Gotovina, the wife of Ante Gotovina, a Croatiangeneral wanted by the U.N. war
crimes tribunal in The Hague.
ZAGREB, Sept 23 (Hina) - The Defence Ministry said in a press release
on Thursday it decided to terminate the active military service of Colonel
Dunja Zloic Gotovina, the wife of Ante Gotovina, a Croatian general wanted by
the U.N. war crimes tribunal in The Hague.Under the ministry decision, Colonel Gotovina's active military service
will end on October 15. She is entitled to a pension.
The press release said the decision was made on the basis of a
government-approved Defence Ministry downsizing plan and the Rule Book on
Standards of Professional Development, after it was assessed that Colonel
Gotovina could not further develop professionally.
