ZAGREB, Sept 21 (Hina) - A study exhibition of one of the leading
Finnish architects, Alvar Aalto, "Architecture and Reading" and an accompanying
photo exhibition were opened at the Croatian Academy of Arts and Sciences'
Museum of Architecture on Tuesday evening.Aalto (1898-1976) is considered one of the leading Finnish architects,
whose works earned him a great international reputation. He is known for
architectural designs for libraries, which the Zagreb exhibition focuses on.
The exhibition is an abridged version of an exhibition staged in Finland
on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Aalto's birth, which toured
several world capitals.
The event was opened by Finnish Ambassador Ilpo Manninen and it will
last until 24 October.
