ZAGREBZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - The Croatian-Cuban commission for economiccooperation began a two-day meeting in the Ministry of the Economy,Labour and Entrepreneurship in Zagreb on Monday to discuss cooperationbetween the two
countries in the area of science, technology,telecommunications, shipbuilding, investment, trade, transport andinformation technology, the ministry said in a statement.
ZAGREB, Sept 20 (Hina) - The Croatian-Cuban commission for economic
cooperation began a two-day meeting in the Ministry of the Economy, Labour and
Entrepreneurship in Zagreb on Monday to discuss cooperation between the two
countries in the area of science, technology, telecommunications, shipbuilding,
investment, trade, transport and information technology, the ministry said in
a statement.The commission is led by Croatian Assistant Economy, Labour and
Entrepreneurship Minister Predraga Boic-Ljubic and Cuban Assistant Foreign
Investment and Economic Cooperation Minister Ricardo Guerrero Blanco.
According to figures from the Croatian National Bureau of Statistics,
trade between Croatia and Cuba was 717,000 US dollars in 2003, of which
Croatian exports accounted for 407,000 dollars and imports for 310,000
dollars.
In the first half of 2004, trade between the two countries was 160,000
dollars, of which Croatian exports accounted for 12,000 dollars.
