ZAGREB EX-POLICEMEN SUSPECTED OF TAKING BRIBESZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - An investigation was launched into two formerhigh-ranking police officers in Zagreb on suspicion that they tookbribes, revealed official secrets and laundered
money. Theinvestigation also covers runaway businessman Hrvoje Petrac who issuspected of being an accomplice in one of the crimes which ex-policeofficers Bozo Vuckovic and Zoran Kosutic were charged with.
ZAGREB, Sept 15 (Hina) - An investigation was launched into two
former high-ranking police officers in Zagreb on suspicion that they took
bribes, revealed official secrets and laundered money. The investigation also
covers runaway businessman Hrvoje Petrac who is suspected of being an
accomplice in one of the crimes which ex-police officers Bozo Vuckovic and
Zoran Kosutic were charged with.The decision on the probe was made by Zagreb County Investigating Judge
Kresimir Devcic at the request of the national Office for Countering Corruption
and Organised Crime (USKOK).
Petrac has been on the run since he was accused of involvement in the
abduction of the 17-year-old son of General Vladimir Zagorec, and an
international warrant for his arrest was issued.
