on Monday signed an agreement on cooperation, envisaging the establishment and development of relations between Croatian and Australian small-sized businesses, companies and institutions.
The agreement was signed by HOK president Stjepan Safran and the head of the West Australian-Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Brian Rakich.
The Australian delegation today also met Prime Minister Ivo Sanader, Parliament President Vladimir Seks, and Economy Minister Branko Vukelic.
The delegation, which consists of Australian business people of Croatian descent, will be visiting Croatia until 17 September.
Parliament President Seks said during the meeting with the Australian delegation that along with the Australian-Croatian Friendship Group in the Australian Parliament, such a group was also set up in the Croatian parliament in March this year. He called on the group's members to advocate the cancellation of visa requirements for Croatians travelling to Australia, the parliament said in a statement.
Rakich said that Australian business people were very much interested in investments in the Croatian tourism, and that both sides were interested in cooperation in the shipbuilding industry.
