SPLIT, Sept 11 (Hina) - The leader of the Liberal Party (LS), IvoBanac, said in Split on Saturday that talks on unification with theLibra party were nearing completion, and that the two parties wereexpected to reach agreement on unification by the end of this month.
SPLIT, Sept 11 (Hina) - The leader of the Liberal Party (LS), Ivo Banac, said in Split on Saturday that talks on unification with the Libra party were nearing completion, and that the two parties were expected to reach agreement on unification by the end of this month.

Speaking at an electoral convention of his party's branch in Split, Banac said he hoped that talks on unification with the Croatian People's Party (HNS) would soon yield positive results as well.

Asked whether this meant that HNS leader Vesna Pusic would become the leader of the new party, Banac said this decision would be made once the new party was established.
