An international seminar was organised on this occasion by the Zagreb City Library and the Chilean Embassy, with the support of the Spanish Embassy, Croatia's Culture and Science Ministry, the Zagreb City Office for Culture, and the Spanish Foreign Ministry's Administration for Cultural and Scientific Relations.
The event, which includes an exhibition on Neruda's life and work, was opened by eminent Chilean poet and professor of Croatian origin Andres Morales Milohnic.
International experts participating in the seminar were also welcomed by new Chilean Ambassador to Croatia Manuel Atria. Apostolic Nuncio Francisco Javier Lozano was also in attendance.
