DUBROVNIK, Sept 8 (Hina) - Croatia's relations with Slovenia, the International Monetary Fund and the Druzba Adria oil pipeline project were the subjects of a press conference given by Croatian Party of Rights (HSP) leader Ante Djapic in Dubrovnik on Wednesday.

The HSP believes that the problems with Slovenia should be dealt with individually rather than in a package as it has been insisted by Slovenia for years, Djapic said.

"The question of the border in the Bay of Piran is one thing, but problems relating to Ljubljanska Banka, the Krsko nuclear power plant or Sveta Gera are something completely different," the HSP president said.

Djapic said that Croatia must finally define its position towards Slovenia as well as towards border issues with Serbia and Montenegro. In this context, he said that the issue of the sea near the southernmost peninsula of Prevlaka and the border along the Danube river had not yet been resolved.

Speaking of the Druzba Adria project, the HSP leader said that his party would propose that Croatia withdraw from the project because the country would have no use of it economically while at the same time the project would be an open environmental threat to the Adriatic.

As for relations with the International Monetary Fund, Djapic criticised the government for accepting a new stand-by arrangement without a prior parliamentary debate. He noted that a debate should have been conducted in line with a decision by the previous parliament which was proposed by the then opposition Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ).

Djapic accused the government of "following dictates by Eurocrats, which Croatia must obey in order to sell what has not yet been sold on the basis of arrangements with the IMF."
