CROATIAN FILM WINS VENICE FILM FESTIVAL AWARD FOR CULTURE OF POLITICAL DIALOGUE

VENICE/ZAGREB, Sept 6 (Hina) - The film "The Jerusalem Syndrome" byCroatian directors Jakov and Dominik Sedlar has won an award at the61st Venice Film Festival for promoting the culture of politicaldialogue, Jakov Sedlar told Hina in a telephone interview on Mondayevening.
VENICE/ZAGREB, Sept 6 (Hina) - The film "The Jerusalem Syndrome" by Croatian directors Jakov and Dominik Sedlar has won an award at the 61st Venice Film Festival for promoting the culture of political dialogue, Jakov Sedlar told Hina in a telephone interview on Monday evening.

The film, which portrays an artist's attitude towards the world today and the world's attitude towards the artist, was shown in the special programme of the festival.

The film was shot for two and a half years in Jerusalem, Paris, Tel Aviv, Zagreb, New York, Los Angeles and a camp of suicide bombers in Gaza. It stars American, Croatian and British actors, including Macaulay Caulkin, Martin Sheen, Bozidar Alic, Charlotte Rampling and Mili Avital.

The Venice Film Festival opened on September 1 and closes on September 11.
