ZAGREB, Sept 2 (Hina) - In the first seven months of this year Croatiaexported commodities worth 27.35 billion kuna or USD4.47 billion andimported goods worth 57.5 billion kuna or USD9.4 billion, according topreliminary figures
released by the National Bureau of Statistics onThursday.
ZAGREB, Sept 2 (Hina) - In the first seven months of this year
Croatia exported commodities worth 27.35 billion kuna or USD4.47 billion and
imported goods worth 57.5 billion kuna or USD9.4 billion, according to
preliminary figures released by the National Bureau of Statistics on
Thursday.The export-import ratio was 47.6 per cent, with the foreign trade
deficit exceeding 30.13 billion kuna or USD4.93 billion.
In kuna terms, exports increased by 13.8 per cent in comparison to the
same period last year, while imports rose by 5.7 per cent. In dollar terms,
exports were up 26.6 per cent and imports 17.5 per cent. The difference is due
to a 10.1 per cent drop in the dollar's exchange rate against the kuna from the
first seven months of 2003.
