Croatia's foreign trade deficit in this year's first seven months amounted to 30.13 billion kuna or over $4.93 billion.
Stated in the domestic currency, exports in this year's first seven months went up 13.8 and imports 5.7 percent from the same time last year. Stated in U.S. dollars, exports went up 26.6 and imports 17.5 percent.
The import-export ratio at the end of July was 47.6 percent, a mild increase from the 46.9 percent at the end of June, the lowest recorded this year.
In July alone the import-export ratio was 51.2 percent, up from only 39.8 percent in June. Imports in July amounted to $1.45 billion, while exports stood at $744.1 million.
