The next platoon of Croatian military policemen is expected to have a more complex task than the previous three contingents, as democratic elections are to be carried out in that Asian country after these 50 Croatian soldiers arrive there.
"Croatia is carrying out its mission in the best possible manner, which has been proved by previous contingents, and I am sure that your participation in the stabilisation of Afghanistan will be at the highest level," Gen. Baric said during his visit to the 50-strong platoon that has been preparing in Zagreb for its next duties.
He went on to say that Croatia had received proposals to expand its mission in Afghanistan and preparations of medical teams and police instructors were under way for this purpose, however, the defence ministry and the parliament would have the final say on the matter.
