The HFP will conduct a survey among all interested investors to see which one of them is willing to enter into the project.
Comprehensive talks are expected to begin early next week with the Russian firm Mechel on the model of its withdrawal from Sisak Ironworks, Vukelic told reporters in Zagreb after meeting representatives of trade unions, local authorities and the official receiver.
The meeting established that there existed no commitments on the part of the Croatian government that might be the reason why Mechel had decided to terminate the sales agreement, the minister said.
The leader of the Metal Workers' Trade Union, Ivo Marjanovic, rejected as untrue the statement by Mechel that the government had failed to meet its commitments.
