During this event, it was said that there were some 6,000 bee-keepers in Croatia, but only 2,100 of them are organised in the national federation.
Participants in the fair warned about a lack of organisation in the bee-farming in Croatia and that the country could enhance honey exports, which currently reache 1,000 tonnes in a year, if more investments were made in this field.
There are also potentials of increasing by tenfold honey consumption in the country.
This three-day event featured bee-keepers from Croatia, the United States, Brazil, Russia, Romania the Czech Republic, and Serbia-Montenegro.
