The proposal was moved by Vojislav Seselj's Radicals and Slobodan Milosevic's Socialists.
The particies of the democratic bloc were not in favour of a unilateral lifting of the lawsuit, but they are also not in favour of a politcal document of the Radicals and Socialists which can harm the country's efforts to draw closer to the European Union and Euro-Atlantic associations.
Only the Serb Revival Movement, at the helm of which is the current Serbia and Montenegro Foreign Minister Vuk Draskovic, was the only party in favour of withdrawing the NATO lawsuit.
