PRISTINA, Aug 20 (Hina) - Council of Europe Secretary-General WalterSchwimmer is scheduled to visit Kosovo on Monday, where he and thelocal U.N. civilian administrator, Soren Jessen Petersen, will signtwo agreements that will enable the application of two Council ofEurope human rights conventions in Kosovo.
PRISTINA, Aug 20 (Hina) - Council of Europe Secretary-General Walter Schwimmer is scheduled to visit Kosovo on Monday, where he and the local U.N. civilian administrator, Soren Jessen Petersen, will sign two agreements that will enable the application of two Council of Europe human rights conventions in Kosovo.

These are the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities, and the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

Schwimmer is also due to meet Kosovo President Ibrahim Rugova and Prime Minister Bajram Rexhepi.
