The exhibition includes about 100 photographs from the Russian-Turkish War (1877-78) after which Bulgaria gained independence. The photographs come from the oldest collection of war photographs after those of the Crimean War (1853-56) and are owned by the Ruzic family of Rijeka, Croatia.
Also in attendance were Bulgarian PM Simeon Saxe-Coburg Gotha and Croatian Culture Minister Bozo Biskupic, who today held talks with his Bulgarian counterpart Bozhidar Abrashev on the advancement of cultural cooperation between the two countries, notably in the protection and restoration of works of art.
