The two officials said Bulgaria's and Croatia's future in Europe opened the possibility of better economic connections.
Economic cooperation and trade between the two counties has been continually growing, the press release said, adding that the two prime ministers also discussed potential economic projects in tourism and the use of ports on the Danube, as well as cooperation in defence.
Sanader said Croatia and Bulgaria shared historical ties which would acquire a new dimension in united Europe.
Earlier today, the Croatian PM laid a wreath by the Monument of the Unknown Soldier in Sofia.
