MOSTAR, July 23 (Hina) - The Old Bridge in the southern Bosnian town ofMostar, seen as a symbol of reconciliation between the divided ethniccommunities in the town and the country, was reopened at a ceremonywhich ended late on Friday
with a display of fireworks. The opening of the rebuilt Old Bridge inMostar represents a victory of good and peace and a victory ofBosnia-Herzegovina as a multiethnic and multicultural community, theChairman of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina, Sulejman Tihic, saidon Friday at a reception arranged for foreign delegations that hadarrived in this southern city to attend the opening ceremony. Shortly before 3 pm on Friday, CroatianPresident Stjepan Mesic arrived aboard a Croatia Airlines flight inthe southern Bosnian city of Mostar, where he will attend tonight'sre-opening of the city's Old Bridge.
