ZAGREB, July 22 (Hina) - The government's intention to award theBechtel company a contract to build the 37 kilometreDugopolje-Sestanovac highway section without inviting bids is based ona decision of the former government, a source at
the government saidon Thursday. Prime Minister Ivo Sanader told CroatianTelevision on Thursday evening that the European Commission would giveits opinion and advice but not an order about whether Croatia shouldor should not sign a contract with the US company Bechtel on theconstruction of the Dugopolje-Sestanovac section of a Split-Dubrovnikhighway.
