LJUBLJANA, May 14 (Hina) - Slovenia cannot introduce a separate lane at border crossings for Croatian citizens because European regulations do not allow it, Slovene police chief Darko Anzelj told reporters on Friday after talks with his Croatian counterpart Ivica Franic.#L# Anzelj said European borders envisaged only two lanes at border crossings, one for EU citizens and the other for citizens from non-EU members. He added, however, that Slovenia, which joined the European Union on May 1, would see to improving traffic flow on border crossings. Anzelj and Franic said cooperation between the two countries' police forces was excellent. They also addressed illegal migrations, agreeing on measures to reduce this problem. Franic said the Croatian police would step up border control. He added the highest number of illegal migrants came from Serbia-Montenegro, whose citizens can enter Croatia without a visa. (Hina) ha
