BANJA LUKA, April 18 (Hina) - Bosnian Serb police officers seriously wounded a man while they were searching for war crimes suspects in private houses in the eastern town of Visegrad on Sunday.#L# A spokesman for the Serb police, Radovan Pejic, said that during a clamp-down on two war crimes suspects in Visegrad, local Serb police and special police had wounded a man who had offered resistance. After that the wounded person was taken to the Visegrad hospital, the spokesman added. An investigation is under way. The police sources gave only initials of the wounded man (N.L.) and the initials of the suspects, M.L. and S.L. According to unofficial reports, the wounded man, Novica Lukic, who is the brother of the war crimes suspect Milan Lukic, died of injuries in the hospital. The same source added that Milan Lukic, who is wanted by the UN war crinmes tribunal in The Hague, was one of the two men whom the police attempted to nab. According to the unofficial reports, the second 'wanted' man was either Sreten Lukic or Sredoje Lukic, as both were also charged with war crimes. (Hina) ms
