CROATIAN PRESIDENT, BULGARIAN FOREIGN MINISTER SATISFIED WITH OSCE MISSION IN CROATIA

ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, who is also the chairman of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), in Zagreb on Monday expressed satisfaction with the work of the OSCE Mission in Croatia, stressing that the mission contributed to the democratisation of society and reaching European standards in Croatia.
ZAGREB, May 10 (Hina) - Croatian President Stjepan Mesic and Bulgarian Foreign Minister Solomon Passy, who is also the chairman of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), in Zagreb on Monday expressed satisfaction with the work of the OSCE Mission in Croatia, stressing that the mission contributed to the democratisation of society and reaching European standards in Croatia.#L# The two officials said progress had been made, adding however, that it was necessary to invest more efforts into the the solving of tenancy rights, the restitution of property, the return of refugees and judicial reform, the President's Office said in a statement. Mesic and Passy talked about the two countries relations and agreed there were no open issues between Croatia and Bulgaria. The Croatian president is scheduled to meet Bulgarian President Georgi Prvanov at the meeting of the presidents of the central European countries to be held in Romania at the end of this month. Earlier today, the Bulgarian official meet members of the Croatian Parliament's Foreign Affairs Committee and members of a Croatian P Parliament's delegation to the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly. The talks focused on the strengthening of Croatia-Bulgaria relations both on the economic front and within the process of joining the European Union which is in the interest of both countries Passy was also scheduled to meet Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader but the meeting has been postponed. Passy and Sanader will travel to the central Adriatic town of Zadar and its hinterland on Tuesday. (Hina) it
