SARAJEVO, May 4 (Hina) - Representatives of the Croatian and Bosnian veterinary medicine offices agreed in Sarajevo on Tuesday to continue cooperating to meet European Union standards and facilitate bilateral trade in food products.
SARAJEVO, May 4 (Hina) - Representatives of the Croatian and Bosnian veterinary medicine offices agreed in Sarajevo on Tuesday to continue cooperating to meet European Union standards and facilitate bilateral trade in food products.#L# The head of the Croatian Office for Veterinary Medicine, Mate Brstilo, told reporters in Sarajevo that the two countries would soon sign an agreement on cooperation in veterinary medicine and that they fully agreed with regard to food exports criteria, which were primarily aimed at protecting the consumers' health. He said that inspections from Bosnia and Croatia had checked all food plants which had applied for exporting food to Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina and that there were 17 such plants in Croatia and seven in Bosnia. Brstilo also announced the cancellation of a ban on lamb import and the import of horses, especially racing horses from Bosnia-Herzegovina. (Hina) rml
