ZAGREB, April 21 (Hina) - Protocol VII which Croatia and the European Commission initialled last week will not lead to an increase in the import of agricultural and food products, Croatian Agriculture Minister Petar Cobankovic said at a meeting with farmers' representatives in Zagreb on Wednesday.#L# The negotiations on Protocol VII were conducted in a conscientious and responsible manner and in compliance with the interests of the Croatian farmers and food-processing industry. The value of agricultural and food imports envisaged in the agreed quotas is 99 million, the minister said adding that last year's imports of agricultural produce and food in Croatia totalled over 1.2 billion. On the other hand, Protocol VII enables Croatia to export to the EU, without any restrictions, all agricultural and food products except fish, fish products, wine and baby beef (these exports are limited), Cobankovic said. The representatives of agricultural producers said they were in principle satisfied with the outcome of the negotiations on Protocol VII. (Hina) ms
