said that only "the change of tenants" is possible on Mount Sveta
Gera, namely that Slovene police officers replace the army unit in the
military barracks on that location.#L#
Commenting on an article which a Croatian daily ran on Thursday under
the headline "Slovene Army is Withdrawing From Sveta Gera", Rupel, who
addressed reporters on the occasion of Slovenia's entry into the
European Union, said the government in Ljubljana had some time ago
considered a possibility of changing occupants in the barracks.
"If there will be some changes, for instance, if the army is to be
replaced by the police, this would be nothing special. Of course, this
would not have anything to do with the issue of the border or similar
things," Rupel said adding that his government had not made any
decision on the matter.
Sveta Gera is a mountain on the Croatian-Slovene border which is
registered in Croatian land books.
