NEW CROATIAN AMBASSADOR PRESENTS CREDENTIALS TO SLOVENE PRESIDENT

, , April 23 (Hina) - The new Croatian Ambassador to Slovenia, Mario Nobilo, presented his credentials to Slovene President Janez Drnovskek on Friday.#L# Nobilo told Hina that the Croatian government wanted to solve all outstanding issues with Slovenia through a rational process and that the resolution of the problems would now be facilitated by changed international circumstances. "I am coming with a message that the new Croatian government has shown willingness to solve all the outstanding issues with Slovenia, either through bilateral talks or otherwise, in a sensible process, without dramatic and emotionally charged statements," Nobilo said ahead of the ceremony at which he handed over his credentials to the Slovene head of state. He explained that Slovenia's admission to NATO and the European Union and the recent positive opinion of the European Commission on Croatia's EU membership application opened new areas for cooperation between the two neighbours.
