ZAGREB, April 26 (Hina) - The trial of Milenko Radak, 39, a Serb from Benkovac accused of 1991 war crimes against civilians in Skabrnja (Zadar hinterland), was adjourned shortly after it started at the Zadar County Court on Monday. #L# Radak's attorney Luka Susak requested the exemption of the president of the panel of judges, Branimir Zorica, Zadar County Court president Antun Klismanic, and Supreme Court president Ivica Crnic over alleged bias. The attorney said his client could not have a fair trial in Croatia and requested transferring the case to the UN war crimes tribunal in The Hague. Susak had previously requested the exemption of Zadar County prosecutor Ivan Galovic and his deputy Slobodan Denona, but the County Prosecution denied the request. The latest exemption request will be dealt with by the Supreme Court. Radak was arrested in Benkovac last July and has been in prison since. (Hina) rml
