The beginning of the 'HRT plus' is a step forward in the
digitalisation of the national radio and television, the HRT director,
Mirko Galic, said at the ceremony of the start of the functioning of
the new channel. He added that the digital model of broadcasting would
be introduced in the entire HRT by 2008.
The HRT plus editor, Veljko Djuretic, said this channel would offer
more shows in the news programme, entertainment and sports.
As the 'HRT plus' is not aired by land transmitters, it is necessary
to have digital satellite receivers and adequate decoding chips to be
able to receive programmes from this channel.
