ZAGREB, April 16 (Hina) - The two-day seminar called "Media and
Judiciary" within a project on promotion of legal culture began on
Friday afternoon in the Croatian coastal resort of Opatija.#L#
The aim of this seminar, the second one organised by the Dutch and
Croatian Helsinki Committees for Human Rights, is to promote the
establishment of confidence and understanding between the media and
judiciary.
The event, financially supported by MATRA programme of the Dutch
foreign ministry, has pooled about 50 judges and state prosecutors who
will be acquainted with the functioning of the media and the
importance of spokespersons and media relations experts. In this
context they will be informed of the Dutch experience.
